Associate Director – Facilities Management

Centre Point Recruitment has partnered with a highly professional and successful Property and Facilities Management company based in Central London.

 

They are looking to hire an Associate Director to join their commercial property facilities management team, to successfully lead a team of Facilities Managers and Building Managers responsible for properties across Central London, The City, and Canary Wharf.

 

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Directly manage a building/facilities management team across a number of buildings.
  • Conduct regular site visits, monthly one-to-ones, annual appraisals, and offer general support with the FM delivery.
  • Support the team with the management of all Hard and Soft services delivered on-site.
  • Ensure the team undertake regular contract meetings with suppliers including a formal assessment of performance, competence, and compliance.
  • Review property reports, ensuring they are received on time and are completed accurately. Compile an overview and present to FM Director.
  • Follow-up on any performance management issues, as identified within the monthly one-to-ones.
  • Oversee the management of procurement and placement of goods and services in line with departmental procedures.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety and environmental management systems are in place and maintained, and that issues identified or reported are managed in line with departmental procedures.
  • Assist the Management Surveyors in the production of, and on-going management of, Service Charge budgets for all sites.
  • Support the team with the implementation of client-specific initiatives such as savings targets, benchmarking, and best practices.
  • Support the teams with the implementation of business continuity & emergency evacuation plans.
  • Organise and provide regular input within the quarterly FM team area meetings.
  • To mobilise new properties coming into management.

 

Key requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience within Facilities Management and a full understanding of Managing Agent responsibilities (ESSENTIAL)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience of working across multiple sites and managing a team of people.
  • An excellent working knowledge of the relationship between Landlord and Occupier as it relates to commercial property.
  • Strong client management skills and an ability to understand and relay business ideas.
  • Professional Membership of IWFM or IOSH is highly desirable.
  • A flexible, adaptable, and cooperative attitude.
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to motivate and drive staff to meet the highest possible standards.

 

 

Location: Central London

Hours: 9am-5:30pm Mon-Fri

Hybrid: 1 day of remote working each week

Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 OTE (inclusive of basic salary, travel allowance and annual bonus)
