Lettings Manager – East London

Job Type: Full-Time
Basic Salary: £30,000 + (DOE)
On Target Earnings: £65,000 – £84,000
About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lettings Manager to join a high-performing, independent estate agency in the heart of East London. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is highly driven, target-focused, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in the residential lettings sector.
As Lettings Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the lettings department, driving new business, ensuring compliance, and managing a small but ambitious team. This is a fast-paced environment offering a strong commission structure and significant earnings potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the lettings team, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from listing to move-in

Generate new instructions through proactive prospecting and networking

Carry out rental valuations/market appraisals and convert leads into instructions

Conduct property viewings and negotiate tenancy agreements

Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for available properties

Ensure full compliance with current lettings legislation and best practices

Train, mentor, and support junior team members

Monitor local market trends and identify growth opportunities
Candidate Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential lettings
-
Proven track record in achieving or exceeding targets

Strong understanding of lettings legislation and compliance

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Well-organised with strong attention to detail

Self-motivated, results-driven, and team-oriented
-
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Working Hours:
-
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
-
Saturdays: 9:00am – 5:00pm (on a rota basis)

Time Off: 1 day off in lieu during the week when working a Saturday
